Appliance Removal in Byron & Houston County

Old appliances are heavier than they look. A side-by-side fridge clears 300 pounds, a stacked washer-dryer pushes 400, and a cast-iron tub or water heater isn't far behind. Cory's Cleanouts is set up for it — straps, dollies, and two-man crews on every haul.

We disconnect water lines and unplug power for you. We get the unit out without scuffing your floors, and we make sure the appliance ends up at the right facility — refrigerants captured, metals recycled.

Two-man crews. Safe disconnection. Recycled, not landfilled.

Appliances we haul:

  1. Refrigerators & freezers — Side-by-side, top-freezer, garage chest freezers — refrigerant safely managed before disposal.
  2. Washers & dryers — Single units or stacked towers. We disconnect water and dryer vent before lifting.
  3. Water heaters — Gas or electric. We can shut off the supply line, drain the tank, and haul it out.
  4. Stoves, ovens, dishwashers — Built-in or freestanding. We pull, cap the line, and load — no kitchen damage.
  5. AC units & window units — Old central units, mini-splits, and window ACs. Refrigerant captured before haul-off.

Most appliance pickups go sideways at the same point: getting a heavy unit through a doorway without damaging the floor or the appliance. We've moved enough of them to know exactly how to do it — and we carry the dollies, straps, and door covers to back it up.

Why Choose Cory's

  • Two-Man Crews

Every appliance haul gets two people. Heavy lifting is done right — no dropped fridges, no scratched floors.

  • Safe Disconnection

We shut off water and gas lines, capture refrigerant where applicable, and never leave you with a leak.

  • Responsible Disposal

Working appliances go to local donation partners. Non-working units are scrapped — metals recycled, not landfilled.

  • No Floor Damage

We use appliance dollies, sliders, and floor protectors. Tile, hardwood, vinyl — your floor leaves the same way ours does.

Garage Cleared, Appliances Out

A Warner Robins homeowner needed an old fridge, a chest freezer, and a stack of garage clutter gone before listing the house. We turned it around in a single afternoon.

How we handled it

  • Disconnect: Unplugged the freezer, drained and unplugged the fridge, and let them dry while we cleared the surrounding clutter.
  • Wrap and dolly: Wrapped both units in moving blankets and dollied them out without touching the door frames.
  • Load: Strapped to the trailer along with the rest of the garage haul — old chairs, paint cans (already sealed), and rusty shelving.
  • Sweep: Broom-finished the garage floor before we left. The homeowner had photos for the listing the same evening.

What Houston County Says

  • Quick, Honest, Done Right

Called Cory in the morning and the trailer was at my carport by lunch. Hauled out a decade of garage clutter and swept up after — couldn't believe how fair the price was.

  • Saved Us On An Estate Cleanout

We had to clear out my dad's place over a weekend and Cory came through. Respectful, efficient, no upsell. He took everything down to the bare floor.

  • Got The Hot Tub Out The Same Day

Three other companies told me a hot tub teardown was a multi-day job. Cory had it broken down and hauled in a few hours. Wish I'd called him first.

  • Will Use Again Without Hesitation

Old fence, yard waste, two couches and a fridge — gone in one trip. Showed up when he said, charged what he quoted. That's all you can really ask for.

FAQs

Appliance Removal FAQs

  • Single-fridge pickups typically run $85–$150 depending on stairs, distance from the truck, and whether we're capturing refrigerant. If you have multiple appliances, we bundle them at a lower per-unit rate.

  • Yes — fridges, freezers, AC units, and dehumidifiers. We make sure refrigerants go to a facility that captures and recycles them properly, which is required by EPA regulation.

  • Yes for water, with shutoff at the supply valve. For gas-line appliances we can disconnect quick-connect fittings, but a full hard-piped gas disconnect should be done by a licensed plumber — we'll let you know which applies.

  • Yes. Working units in usable condition go to local donation partners when possible. If the unit isn't worth donating, it's recycled for scrap metal — nothing usable goes to a landfill.

  • No. We bring dollies, sliders, blankets, and door-frame protectors. If you have specific high-traffic flooring (LVP, tile, hardwood) just flag it on the call and we'll plan accordingly.
